I bring over two decades of experience working with individuals and families affected by mental illness, substance abuse, and domestic violence. My journey began as a substance abuse prevention and intervention specialist, providing care for People Living with AIDS. Over the years, I have had the privilege of serving in diverse roles, including substance abuse counselor in medical detox units, consultant for foster care and juvenile justice systems, and director of clinical programs spanning multiple boroughs in New York City. Each role has deepened my understanding of the complexities individuals face and reinforced my belief in the importance of compassionate, integrated care.
My academic foundation includes a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Stony Brook University and an advanced certification in Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counseling (CASAC). These credentials, combined with years of practical experience, have shaped my ability to assess and address the needs of clients holistically. Whether working with children in the welfare system, adolescents in juvenile detention, or adults in re-entry programs, I have always been driven by a passion for fostering resilience and hope. At Still Waters, I am committed to bringing this same dedication and expertise to every client I serve, creating a space where healing and growth are not only possible but inevitable.
